493 week 1

 Post One: Planning

This semester, my goal is to create animations and projects that can be added to my resume. I would like to complete a lip sync animation as well as a rig and animations for a project that I've been asked to be a part of. 

The project that I've been hired for is a game called Fungi Frenzy that is being made by Ashen Sky Studio, A company that is being created by a couple of Chico State Alumni. My priority for this semester will be finishing, at least, the rigs that I am asked to do as part of the game. With the fact that I don't know when I'm going to be given those models for rigging, I want to have another project that I can work on in the meantime and between tasks. 

For my lip sync animation I want to use this clip of Brennan Lee Mulligan. I think it is a good length and has room for me to exaggerate on poses and gestures during the dialogue. If I am not done with the lip sync animation when I have other tasks ready to complete I will switch focus and come back to it when I can. I would like to finish both this semester but I think feedback would be more helpful for me on game project 


For the lip sync animation, the process will involve:
- sourcing a model and rig
- blocking animation
- blocking plus
- spline
- clean and polish
- render

I think I can complete each of these objectives within a week or less so I will attempt to follow that schedule whenever I am working on these tasks. For the game project I'm not exactly sure what my timing or objectives will look like yet but once I get more details I can lay out a plan that will help schedule the rest of my semester.
